Bikini Shots

New Image

Today I got myself a new image including new skin (body)and new hair which means I am no longer built like an action man with welded on underwear!

I think it will take a bit of time to get used to my new look but I certainly look better in a bikini. Lay around on a tropical beach for a while to show off my new body and took some photos.

Banned For A Week!

I managed to get myself suspended from SL for over a week so I have a lot to get caught up on.

What happened was - I wanted to buy another plot of land between the one I already owned and the beach so that nobody could build some monstrosity (or even worse an adfarm) and spoil my view. As I had only just opened a premium account I couldn't buy the lindens I needed from Linden Labs so bought them from another site which looked perfectly legit.

It wasn't, of course, and the lindens were fake - hence the suspension - so a cautionary tale, don't buy lindens anywhere other than from Linden Labs!

Second Life Landowner

I have taken the plunge and bought a plot of land!

I looked at dozens of plots and most were pretty horrible, surrounded by ugly advertising lots or hemmed in by huge buildings. Then I viewed a plot in the Seahorse area of the mainland - a lovely flat plot with ocean views and nice properties nearby - it is perfect for me.

All I have put on it so far is a few trees and flowers and a "beach hut" type single storey house with deck. Now I can go shopping for a nice house to put on it - there are a lot available for free but I have seen one that I really like for 400L$ (less than $2 US) so I think I can afford it!

That's the thing with Second Life - most things are so cheap or even free so anyone who goes there to "make money" needs to be very talented or very patient. It is very simple to make linden dollars by various means (camping etc.) but the amount it pays are TINY. Much easier to make money online OFF of SL (more about this later).

The Catacombs of Avalon

Today I visited the Catacombs of Avalon, a role play area for medieval knights & ladies, dragons, faeries and other strange creatures. I arrived wearing jeans and t-shirt but there is a dress code so couldn’t enter then. A knight called Maxwell Faulkland arrived and was very kind, he tried to give me some appropriate clothing but it wouldn’t transfer so I had to leave and try and find something to wear.

Best I could find in my inventory was a white medieval style wedding dress. Put that on and went back – managed to gain entry to the graveyard but couldn’t find any way out of it to anywhere else. A scary dragon character arrived “Avalon Dragonslayer Zaera Tauroy” who was friendly but not very helpful and then disappeared into thin air.

Next I met another “lady” of Avalon Amberle Tarber who gave me the cryptic advice “there is only the graveyard and the catacombs beneath, you have to solve the puzzles to progress”.

Eventually I found a mirror (portal) to the Castle of Avalon but while exploring found myself back in the graveyard. This was enough excitement for one day so I teleported out of there and changed back into “normal” clothes. I will definitely go back!

A Strange Encounter

Today I teleported straight to the newbie condo I found the other day to spend some time by myself organizing my inventory and sorting out my profile. Unfortunately there was someone already in residence in the condo and on going outside to look for another empty condo I encountered two very scary avatars, one male, one female (gang members?) who got up very close to me and were obviously talking about me in an unrecognizable language. I teleported out of there as quickly as I could.

Just realized that although it is almost midday here, it is 3.17am in SL so that might explain the sinister people hanging about.
